// about

Engineer at the edge of the network, and above it.

I'm a Brisbane-based network engineer and Technical Director at NetVault, an Australian telco that delivers Internet, Telephony and Cloud services through managed service providers. My work sits where the physical and orbital internet meet: data-centre interconnects, fibre and carrier aggregation, and low-Earth-orbit satellite services like Starlink and, soon, Amazon LEO.

In April 2021 our team was the first in Australia to deploy standalone Starlink terminals to end users. I led Project Halo, a $100K Starlink and Cisco grant to connect a regional school. When the 2022 floods washed away fibre in the Northern Rivers, we trucked Starlink Rapid Deployment Kits to evacuation centres and the rescue helicopter base.

Before that, as Senior Systems Consultant at VMvault from 2011 to 2020, I built private-cloud and national MPLS services in NEXTDC facilities, including one of the first 20 Gbps Azure ExpressRoute links through AXONVX.
